Long-Range Precision Rifle Introductory Experience
If you’ve wondered what it’s like to shoot a long-range precision rifle and hit your target at 1,000 yards, you’ll want to join us at WFTC at Highlands Firearms Training Academy in Cascade, WI. 
For this introductory experience, we’ll have a variety of factory to custom-built rifles available for you to shoot as you learn more about long-range marksmanship and gain an introduction to precision rifle competition. Our instructors will assist you in setting up your shot and will be there to congratulate you when you ring the gong and join the 1,000-yard club!

Highlands Firearms Training Academy is a premier destination for shooting enthusiasts, recreational sportsmen, and professionals and offers an unparalleled experience in a pristine location. After your shooting experience, you may wish to visit the adjoining Solu winery for some camaraderie and libations with some great folks.
 
Precision Rifle Equipment: The Tools of the Trade
Learn what’s involved in long-range shooting by starting with the basics – the tools of the trade. This two-hour class meets at Wisconsin Firearms Training Center where you’ll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of tools and equipment.

Our long-range experts will be available to answer questions and discuss topics such as: 
•	A fully-equipped PRS rifle
•	Magazines
•	Ammunition
•	Shooting bags (Gamechanger and Standard Rear Bag)
•	Hearing protection
•	Kestrel ballistic meter
•	Chronograph
•	Sling
•	Tripod and mount

Long-Range Marksmanship Fundamentals
Get started on the path to improving your long-range marksmanship skills in this hands-on class held at Wisconsin Firearms Training Center. This four-hour class covers fundamentals such as trigger control, breathing, and natural point of aim. You’ll practice shooting from prone, sitting, kneeling, and standing positions.

Required Equipment:
Rifle with bipod and sling
Minimum of 20 rounds for ammunition for your rifle

Long-Range Marksmanship Ballistics
In this four-hour class held at Wisconsin Firearms Training Center, you’ll learn how the flight pattern of a bullet is influenced by external variables. You’ll also learn how to calculate and compensate for those variables to make accurate shots. 

We’ll discuss:
•	The importance of a good zero
•	Environmental factors and their influence on POI (wind, temperature, elevation)
•	Ammunition quality and how it affects accuracy
•	Gathering muzzle velocity information from a chronograph
•	Inputting data into a Kestrel or ballistic calculator
•	Building a DOPE card
•	Determining your actual ballistic coefficient vs. what the manufacturer advertises
•	Scope design and function requirements
•	MRAD vs. MOA
•	Using different reticles

Building Your Precision Rifle: Tips, Techniques, and Best Practices
In his four-hour class, you’ll learn what to look for when selecting components to build your precision rifle. Our experts will share their experience and knowledge about assembly best practices for both bolt-action and AR-style rifles to help you to select the components that work best for you. 

Precision Rifle Barricade Shooting & Techniques
This comprehensive six-hour class meets at Highlands Firearms Training Academy in Cascade, WI. You’ll have the opportunity to shoot from non-standard positions around a variety of obstacles and barricades using varying courses of fire. At the end of the day, you’ll bring it all together and use your accumulated skills in a fun simulated competitive match.
