This comprehensive course is essential for anyone who is considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. Learn to develop the mindset needed to be a responsible defensive firearms owner by focusing on and understanding conflict avoidance, situational awareness, handgun and shotgun basics, shooting fundamentals, physiology of violent encounters, and the legal aspects of using deadly force, including what to do in the aftermath. You’ll also learn about proper gear and ongoing training. 

Included with the course fee is a Michael Martin’s Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals book, a well-written, inclusive, and easy-to-use 200+ page book ($29.99 value)

The course curriculum meets the Wisconsin Department of Justice concealed carry permit application requirements and also meets the requirements for Florida and Minnesota non-resident permits. We’ll provide information on each state’s application process. A Course Completion Certificate will be awarded to all participants who successfully complete the course. 

Prior handgun knowledge or experience is not required. The course includes a live-fire experience on our range. If you own a handgun, you may use your handgun for the live-fire portion of the class. If you don’t own a handgun, rental handguns are available.
