SHOTGUN FUNDAMENTALS
You`ll learn about basic shotgun functionality, safe handling and storage, sighting, chokes, shot patterning, slugs and specialty ammunition, proper loading and re-loading, stance, shouldering in defensive applications, trigger control, basic care and cleaning, accessories, and more. When used properly, your defensive-style shotgun is also a very effective home and personal defense firearm. You`ll also have a chance to practice your new skills on our range. No prerequisite Required equipment: 12, 20 or 410-gauge pump action or semi-auto shotgun. Barrel length less than 24” preferred. Sling on the shotgun preferred. Sights preferred. Eye and hearing protection Ammunition: 30 rounds of 7 or 8 shot; 20 rounds of 00 Buckshot; 10 rounds of slugs **If you own a semi-auto shotgun, be sure that the ammo you select functions in your shotgun. Some semi-auto shotguns do not function reliably with lower powered, “low brass”, shotgun rounds. If your defensive shotgun does not function well with 7 or 8 shot, you may substitute buckshot for these rounds.** 4 Hours $95.00 All class fees are NON REFUNDABLE.
